Rare Japanese Meiji Sterling Silver. 950 Mirror, Signed
950 hand mirror in a shape of tsuba, signed by an artist. It has magnificent silver and gold inlays of an old woman with gold inlaid eyes, a gold birds and gold hair decoration. It has floral decorations (gold and silver inlays). A plate with a signature is on the right side of a mask. The handle has a decoration of a bird on bushes, with gold and silver inlays. The front side of a handle has geese, a gold-inlaid sun , bushes and other inlays. The mirror has no damages; there is some age oxidation on the mirror side and light age patina, no dings, no repairs and no damages. 5 5/8" x 2 1/2".
